Most Favorite!

In my last post I shared a link to my website and ‘2019 Favorites’ gallery. However, my most favorite image was not among them because I added it to my ‘Home Gallery’ instead. Running across it in one of my folders I realized I never shared it on this blog either. Surely my most favorite should have a place here! I printed and framed this for a show last summer. It didn’t sell so I am including it in an exhibit at our Ridgway Public Library where I will be showing along with a potter. I will have about 20 framed pieces on display. Note the title … I amused myself with that one!

    I love your clever titles!!
I get to look at this photo all month!!! Thanks!!

  2. Beautiful image, Denise.

  3. It’s beautiful! I love your creativity in naming your images. I have the hardest time naming mine.
Best of luck with the exhibit!

    • Thanks Deborah. I have fun coming up with the titles although with all similar subject matter it is getting harder not to repeat! And, I’ll feel less anxious about my exhibit once it is hung tomorrow for Saturday’s reception.

  4. Wow..that’s a beauty, Denise. Love your title. Congrats on your show!

  5. ‘Pink Peak Peeking’ piques people’s passion.

  6. Lovely shot, Denise. Nice alliteration and I see that Steve took it a step further. 🙂

  7. Beautiful in person too!

  8. Stunning, Denise! Congrats on another show!!

    • Thanks Donna … can’t wait to get the show delivered and hung so I can stop worrying about it all. I think this will be my last big show.

  9. That sounds like a good combination. Wonderful! that you have your works shown at the library. Also, this reminds me that I also have a friend who is a potter but I don’t have any thing to share with his works.

    • The library actually put us together. There are so few places to show here and so many artists that it took 4 years since signing up! Thanks for your visit!

  10. If you can’t have fun with your own artwork, what is the point! Good luck with your show. The colors are beautiful and surreal.

I just found out my roomate from college is retiring from Ouray and moving to Ridgway with her husband this year to start a hemp farm. Small world. She is a wonderful person.

  11. Perfect title…..great shot!!

  12. Great shot and title! Good luck with the exhibition, the pottery also looks great!

  13. Dream photo! Thank you.

    Have a good day!

  14. A nice sunrise? I sometimes wonder why sunrises run pink and sunsets run yellow/orange.

    • No, this is at sunset looking towards the east/northeast. We get a lot of alpenglow here … often pinks and purples. It makes sunset exciting when the sky can get color in different directions. Sometimes the whole sky lights up.

Amazing color! I can see why it’s your fav!

  16. That is an amazing photo. Just love that white covered tip of a mountain top barely sticking up in the background, so beautifully lit.
