2022 Favorites

21Dec22

As many of my friends and followers know, I like to close out the year by collecting all my favorite photos in a year-end gallery. It’s a 20 year tradition! Now that it is complete I’m ready to move on with renewed energy, goals and 2023! I collected over 100 images and then edited the group down to 65. Click the thumbnail page or link below to check out all my ‘2022 Favorites’, and find links to other years, and my store too!

  1. They are all beautiful shots, Denise. Thanks for sharing, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  2. Wow! Your first is image magic, and the rest of your work in this summary is beyond adjectives. Well done, Denise.

Great as always! Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

  4. 7 Deb

All gorgeous! I somehow missed the tree with snow from up above. Stunning!
Happy 2023 and many more beautiful pictures!

    Deb

    • Thanks Deb! That image is a bit of an optical illusion, I guess. I was down below shooting up ward at a steep slope. The trails are from spontaneous snow clumps rolling down the slope. XOXO Merry & Happy to you too! 🙂

  5. Great selection of images Denise, hard to pick a favorite, that are all lovely 😍 👌 👍

  6. 11 Tom Jagielo

Thank you Denise, once again for sharing your awesome landscapes. You always amaze me with your beautiful images.
    I love seeing them!

Wishing you and yours the best in the coming year, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  7. That’s a worthy showing to close out your year. I remember many of these from when they first appeared.

    Happy 2023.

    • Yes … almost all of these appeared on the blog during the year. Thanks for You visit and comment … I always appreciate it! Happy 2023! 😊

  8. Beautiful collection! What a year. I feel your love of the landscape!

  9. What a pleasure to peruse these photos, Denise. Amazing and breath-taking every single one, but the one that stopped me was Sunny ‘Sneezeweed Meadow’… that one really spoke to me! ❤

  10. So many memorable, fabulous images, Denise. Your dedication to these landscapes is inspiring. “Tight Aspens” is one I’m not sure I’d experienced and it is enthralling! Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and a new year filled with many more moments like these. 😊

    • Thank you Jane! I don’t think I posted ’Tight Family’ on my blog. I might include it in a future post about ‘Nature Patterns & Abstracts’ … the title of one of the galleries on my store site. Happy holidays!

  11. 21 Mary Phares

Denise, each one is more beautiful than the next. So hard to pick a favorite! But I do love all the Aspens images. Have an amazing Holiday Season and can’t wait to see all your new images that the new year brings!

  12. It’s like staring at the Baskin Robbins wall of flavors! Congratulations on 20 years of amazing work! Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!

    • Thanks so much Carlos! A lifetime of art, 24 years with photography being my serious fine art medium and 20 years of posting yearly favorites. When I revamped my website a few years ago I didn’t include the earliest years. The galleries go back to 2006!

  13. Always look forward to this… and… I am never disappointed. Just inspired to shoot a place and have the pics tell a story. Yours definitely do this!!! Thanks D for the share.

    • Thanks so much for your nice comment Mike. I respect your opinion as an awesome photographer so that means a lot. Merry Christmas to you and the family! 🤶

  14. You had a successful 2022, Denise. It takes a lot of work to shoot, sort and edit a years worth of photos. Then to choose 100 favorites on top of all that is a major task.

Wishing you Happy Holidays and a successful 2023,

    Ken

    • Thank you Ken! The blog helps in choosing my favorites. I can go through and select from the ones that made it in the year’s posts. I ended up with 64, so I left a few behind. I print out my thumbnails and arrange them on a board to create a nice flow from one image to the next. Thanks for looking and happy holidays to you and yours!

  15. Hi, Enjoyed viewing all these beautiful images you captured from all seasons of 2022. I do really like the “Slopeside Slide” shot. “Splendor in the Grass” is another favorite of mine. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  16. Beautiful series.

  17. Wonderfully curated series of spectacular images! I appreciate and admire your commitment to your craft, and your beautiful way of seeing the natural world. Merry Christmas!

    • Thank you so much Sam! I saw your blog link on FB recently and have been meaning to catch up. I will visit soon. Merry Christmas and all my best to you and yours in 2023!

  18. You’ve captured your surroundings so beautifully, Denise! A pleasure to revisit these scenes.

  19. Heck of a nice way to remember a year.

  20. Absolutely Wonderful! You are so inspiring Denise!

Sorry that my reply is late. It’s been a good photographic year for you, Denise. Happy New Year and I look forward to seeing more of your images in 2023.

  22. It’s a joy to discover your blog and photos. Please keep continuing to share them! Wishing you all the best for 2023!

    • Thank you … I’m wishing you the best in 2023 too. I will continue to share and am working on my next post now! I’ve been blogging since 2009 so I don’t think I could stop now even if I wanted too … and I don’t! 🙂

      • I’m very much the same! I’ve had a website since the late 90’s and a blog of some sorts since sometime in the 2000s. I don’t think I could stop either! 😀

  23. They are all so stunning! Love your work! May 2023 be filled with Peace and Joy for you and yours!!

  24. Saint Ansel said a dozen significant images makes a good year. These all fit the bill and it was a very good year, Denise! A very pleasant slide show.

    • Thanks very much Steve. I am aware of that quote. I would have to cull some more to define them as ‘significant’ rather than ‘favorites’! 🙂 This is simply the way I have my website organized … by year. My store is organized by gallery/subject. Thanks so very much for looking!

  25. So many outstanding photos!! Some that I remember, some that I may not have seen. The repeating themes (fences, aspens, etc) become very clear and oh, those sunsets at the end! Gorgeous. It was a good year. I hope 2023 opens even more opportunities for you.

  26. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻📷👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💐
